What does pain mean?
Pain has always been a sign that something is not working correctly. If someone is having tightness in their chest or tingling in their arm, we would not recommend they ignore it. Emotional pain or distress is a sign something needs to change.
There are many types of ‘emotional pain’…
Sofia’s mother was worried when she stopped hanging out with her friends and was withdrawing more and more from everyone. When we started talking, she was completely gripped with indecision about what she wanted to do with her life. I helped her feel more comfortable with decision-making and learn how to move forward in her journey with confidence.
Tanya came in completely overwhelmed with stress and frustration. She was getting married in a few weeks and making herself miserable planning the perfect wedding. I helped her relax and enjoy the day she has been so looking forward to.
Peter had been eagerly waiting to retire for the last five years. A few months into retirement, he was having difficulty getting out of bed and wasn’t enjoying anything. I helped him learn how to recuperate physically and find ways outside of his career to meet his emotional needs.
